Recycled newsprint - the best insulation for your home
In my 20 years in the building industry and experience with insulation, I have never been more convinced of the effectiveness of cellulose as a home insulation product.
Derived from recycled newsprint and cardboard, cellulose fibre is teated with non toxic borax and boric acid to render it non combustible and prevents insects and vermin from touching the product.
At Environmentally Safe Natural Insulation (ESNI) we have been installing cellulose in Australian homes since 1979. There have been only letters of praise for the effectiveness of the cellulose to reduce heat in summer and keep the home warm in winter.
In addition cellulose is a great noise stop. We have had reports of traffic and aircraft noise levels reduced after insulation of ceilings alone.
